Multimodal Approach in Online EFL Class Using Islamic Learning Materials: Students' Perspective

This study aims to find out how students' perspectives on learning English use 21st century strategies through a multimodal approach teaching for EFL students. A lecture was conducted online one semester (four months) by using Islamic topics as materials. The materials were presented and discussed, then students asked write or talk about the topics. uses descriptive qualitative data collection provision of questionnaires interviews with 47 Broadcasting Program at Faculty Religion private university in Bogor, Indonesia, language course. From collected set questionnaires, it can be concluded that, 1) majority respondents are interested learn English; 2) state that assisted them improving their skills; 3) resources. Furthermore, stated is very interesting, good, help English. In addition, wished direct interaction between lecturers could continue function well. Hence, multimodal-based provide interactive opportunities
